Nepal to face Philippines in AFC Asian Cup Qualifier

Kathmandu : Nepali National football team play their first match Against Philippines in AFC Asian Cup Qualifier. The Match will be held at the Rizal Memorial Stadium on 28 March 2017, 8:00PM.
Nepali football which is ranked 170th in FIFA rankings has poor record against the 124th-placed Philippines as it has registered just one win out of four matches and faced three defeats. After playing away to Philippines, Nepal will host home games against Yemen on June 13 and Tajikistan on September 5 in Kathmandu.

The Philippine encounter is the biggest for Nepal, coached by the Japanese Koji Gyotoku since March 2016, in over two years. “We have had a long time to practice for the tournament. There are some players who are carrying injuries, but that shall not be a problem,” says Gyotoku.

Nepal and the Philippines have played four matches so far and Nepal has lost last three matches against the Philippines. Nepal and Philippines had played their first match in 1982, when Nepal had won the match by 1-0. In 2011, the Philippines had beaten Nepal 4-0. Kathmandu : Nepali national cricket team is taking on Bangladesh U23 in Second match of ACC Emerging Teams Cup being held at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium Academy Ground No 2 in Cox Bazaar, Bangladesh.
The 2017 ACC Emerging Cup features U-23 teams from eight countries. It’ll see Asian Test giants – India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and hosts Bangladesh – play against the likes of upcoming associates Afghanistan, UAE, Hong Kong and Nepal. As per rules, the Test playing sides are allowed to field up to four senior national players over the stipulated age limit while the associate nations can send their full strength national teams. Nepal doesn't have a good record in the Emerging Teams Cup as it had lost all the matches in the first edition held in Singapore four years back. Nepal vs Pakistan U-23 Live Stream | ACC Emerging Cup 2017

 

Kathmandu :Nepal National cricket team will play against Test Playing Nation Pakistan U-23, today in ACC Emerging Teams Cup 2017 at the Sheikh Kamal Cricket Stadium in Coxs Bazar, Bangladesh.

The match will be started from 9 am local time on March 27, 2017. The match will be an opportunity for both the teams to make an impact right from the beginning of the tournament.

Eight Asian teams, divided in two groups, will compete in the first phase of the tournament in four venues of Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar -- Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS) and MA Aziz Stadium (MAAS) in Chittagong, and Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium (SKICS)-1 and SKICS-2 in Cox’s Bazar.

The tournament requires the Full Member teams to field their Under-23 side apart from those four players who can be over the age of 23.
